Construction has officially begun on the final office tower at the World Trade Center in New York City, marking a significant milestone in the site's redevelopment 25 years after the devastating 9/11 attacks. The long-awaited project, which has been delayed multiple times, will bring a new 80-story skyscraper to the complex, joining the already completed One World Trade Center, also known as the Freedom Tower. The new tower, designed by architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, will feature office space, retail, and a rooftop observation deck offering panoramic views of the city. With its completion, the World Trade Center will finally be complete, restoring the site to its former status as a major hub of commerce and finance in Lower Manhattan.
