A landmark New York City hotel is set to undergo a comprehensive transformation, closing its doors for an extensive renovation project beginning next year. The Plaza Hotel, an iconic institution since its opening in 1907, will pause operations to refresh its historic interiors and modernize its facilities. Guests and visitors will need to plan ahead, as the closure is expected to last for an entire year. The renovation aims to preserve the hotel’s legendary status while adapting to contemporary standards.
