Police in Long Island have announced the arrests of individuals suspected of participating in a coordinated chain snatching scheme spanning multiple states. Authorities describe the operation as a series of targeted thefts involving victims being robbed of items like phones, jewelry, and wallets while walking or standing in public areas. The investigation suggests a pattern of suspects working in groups to overwhelm victims and quickly flee the scene. Details on how the scheme operated and the scale of the arrests remain under review by law enforcement.
