Hello neighbors. I (a native New Yorker) am coming to you all with a few…unspoken rules that I feel need to be spoken once again, in light of recent events that I witnessed coming back from a game, and MANY other similar experiences on the MTA. If you are using public transportation and you see- A pregnant individual An elderly person A small child A parent with a small child and/or a stroller PLEASE GIVE UP YOUR SEAT. A young mother should not have to struggle with her small child on one hand and a stroller on the other because some of you (transplants or otherwise) don’t have the decency or perception to just offer them a place to sit. Let’s look out for each other! Signed, A tired train taker submitted by /u/simp_radish [link] [comments]
