A steel beam from the World Trade Center is embarking on a cross-country journey to honor the memories of first responders who lost their lives during the devastating 9/11 terror attacks. The 17-ton beam, which was recovered from the rubble of the Twin Towers, will travel over 2,700 miles from New York to the National First Responders Monument in Colorado, passing through 10 states along the way. The poignant tribute is set to take place in the 20th anniversary year of the attacks, paying respects to the brave men and women who risked their lives to save others on that fateful day. As the beam makes its way across the country, it will stop at various cities and landmarks to pay tribute to the fallen heroes.
