A cunning stowaway fox has been released from quarantine in New York after a long journey from the UK. The clever animal, believed to have hitched a ride on a cargo ship from Southampton, has been living in a specialized facility on Staten Island since its discovery in January. Despite initial concerns over the potential risks of introducing a non-native species to the US ecosystem, experts have deemed the fox to be healthy and free of diseases. Now, the fox is set to begin its new life in a wildlife sanctuary, where it will be cared for and hopefully reintroduced to the wild in a controlled environment.
