Archaeologists have made a significant discovery at the Alamo Church in San Antonio, Texas, unearthing a long-lost cannonball that dates back to the famous 1836 battle. The relic was found in an adjacent excavation unit to where another intact cannonball was previously discovered in March, sparking hopes that it may provide valuable insights into the pivotal event. The Alamo Church, a former Spanish mission, was the site of a brutal 13-day siege by Mexican forces led by General Santa Anna, resulting in the deaths of legendary figures such as Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie. Experts believe that the newly unearthed cannonball could shed light on the battle's tactics and strategies, offering a fascinating glimpse into one of the most pivotal moments in Texas history.
