A coalition of local residents and advocacy groups will gather outside City Hall to protest the proposed Metropolitan Park Casino, citing concerns over potential impacts on the community. Demonstrators argue the development could strain public resources, alter neighborhood character, and raise issues related to problem gambling and traffic congestion. Organizers claim the project lacks sufficient transparency and public input, demanding further scrutiny before any approvals are granted. The rally aims to amplify voices opposing the casino’s expansion while pushing city officials to reconsider the proposal’s broader implications.
