Mosquitoes are taking over the Big Apple. A recent study by Terminix has ranked New York City as the worst city in the US for mosquito infestations, leaving residents swatting at more than just their fair share of biting bugs. The study, which analyzed data from over 45,000 pest control services across the country, found that NYC's humid climate and abundance of standing water make it a breeding ground for mosquitoes. As the warmer months approach, residents can expect to see an uptick in mosquito populations, bringing with them the risk of diseases like Zika and West Nile virus.
