Social media giant Meta has imposed a sweeping ban on advertising from TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, across its platforms Facebook and Instagram in multiple key markets. The restriction applies to users in the US, Canada, and several Asian countries, including Indonesia, Japan, and Vietnam, among others. The move comes amid ongoing regulatory scrutiny and competition concerns surrounding TikTok’s rapid global growth.
