A mysterious metallic object believed to be space debris has been found embedded in a farm field, lying undetected for weeks as crops grew around it. Farmers noticed the unusual discovery only after the surrounding corn reached a height suggesting the debris had been present for at least six weeks. The object’s origin and composition remain unclear, raising questions about how long it may have been on the ground. Investigators are now examining whether it poses any risks to the surrounding area.
In the farmers’ estimation, the cosmic debris sat in the field for at least six weeks before being discovered, based on the size of the corn that was growing from underneath it, KGW8 reported.
