A local student is raising awareness and funds for autism acceptance by participating in the annual NYC Buddy Walk, a nationwide event that brings communities together to support individuals with autism spectrum disorder. The event encourages participants to walk alongside "buddies" who may have autism, fostering inclusion and understanding. This year’s involvement marks a personal commitment to advocacy, as the student aims to highlight the importance of support systems for families and individuals affected by autism. The walk serves as both a celebration of neurodiversity and a call to action for greater accessibility and resources.
