The New York Jets have named a six-member leadership group to serve as team captains heading into the 2026 season, continuing the franchise's tradition of distributing leadership responsibilities across multiple veterans rather than relying on a single voice. The captain group will be expected to represent the team in meetings with coaching staff, help set the tone in the locker room, and serve as a bridge between the front office and the broader roster. The announcement comes as the Jets look to build momentum and establish a cohesive identity as they push forward in an increasingly competitive AFC East division.
