A new report reveals a sophisticated scam targeting wealthy individuals, where a con artist manipulates victims into transferring assets under false pretenses. Sources describe how the perpetrator first secures property ownership before persuading victims to hand over cash and financial control. The scheme allegedly involves convincing women of the scammer’s expertise in stock trading, only to redirect investments into accounts he controls. Authorities are investigating the pattern of deception, which appears to follow a calculated sequence of trust-building and exploitation.
A source told The Post of a rogue romantic: “One person gave him half of a lake house. He gets actual cash and, when he can, he convinces the woman that he knows about stock trading. Then he gets her to open an account. Of course, it’s all in his name.”
