Connecticut has joined a growing list of six Northeastern states in a lawsuit against the Trump administration over its handling of a major offshore wind project in New York. The lawsuit, which also includes Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Maryland, alleges that the administration's approval process for the project has been overly restrictive and has hindered the development of the nation's first large-scale offshore wind farm. The project, which would generate enough electricity to power over 1 million homes, has been years in the making but has faced numerous delays and setbacks under the Trump administration. Environmental advocates and state officials have expressed frustration with the administration's approach, which they say is stifling the growth of a critical clean energy source.
