For the past year, we at Hell Gate have been haunting courtrooms, hanging out around strange outer borough political clubhouses, and filing endless requests for transcripts to produce this new investigation into the machinations of New York's broken judicial system. All free, no paywall, just so everyone can get informed about the shady sides of this process. We answer the question of how judges really become judges in NYC, and how it harms regular New Yorkers.
