Belgian soccer fans are celebrating a sweet victory, but one that goes far beyond their team's impressive 4-1 win over the United States in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16. In a move that's left many in the international soccer community stunned, the Belgian national team has reportedly been awarded a significant compensation package following the US team's decision to pull out of a planned friendly match in March. The Red Devils, as they're affectionately known, had been looking forward to the match, which was set to take place in Leuven, Belgium, but was cancelled at the last minute due to "logistical issues." Now, it appears that the Belgian team will be receiving a substantial payout for the cancelled match, adding insult to injury for the US team, which is still reeling from their World Cup defeat.

Belgium’s 4-1 dismantling of the United States in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 wasn’t enough. The Red Devils wanted the last laugh, too.
